Our client is looking for a talented chef to work in the kitchen team at their stunning newly renovated one location restaurant, winery and hotel. Featuring 50 beautifully appointed spacious suites the resort also includes an original country Homestead built in 1887 that can sleep up to 12 guests. As well as an underground Cellar Door where guests can sample some the best wines from across the region, the property also has an onsite a la carte restaurant & wood-fired pizza oven as wellas hosting conferencing and weddings. About you: -AQF Diploma or associate degree required with two years of relevant experience -At least three years of relevant may substitute for formal qualifcation -Relevant qualifications in Commercial Cookery Relevant experience in a premium restaurant/banquet kitchen -Enthusiasm and creative approach to providing high-quality cuisine -Demonstrated understanding of Australian food safety and HACCP -Availability to work weekends and public holidays as required within a rotating roster -Well presented, punctual and reliable -Be able to plan and develop menu's, labour costs and food ordering -Monitor and produce quality dishes in all stages of preparation and organisation -Prepare and cook food to hygiene regulations. -Ability to keep your section clean and organised with a good understanding of work flow and structure -Ability to prioritize and work under pressure -A passion for quality food and produce -Own transport required You will be joining a high performing workplace that believes in developing new talent and empowering people to drive their own results.
