Reporting to the Head Chef, you will assist in daily food preparation, execution and be an integral part of creating new and exciting menus and experiences for our guests. Whether it be from the kitchen itself or from our extensive kitchen garden showcasing our homegrown produce, if you are looking for a role with diversity we'd love to hear from you. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to deliver both A la Carte and Function and Wedding dining experiences. ABOUT YOU:
- Certificate III & IV in Commercial cookery (minimum)
- Experience as a Sous Chef able to lead a Team
- Experience in a similar role in an a la carte hotel restaurant or functions kitchen will be highly regarded
- Planning and organisational skills
- Enthusiasm and creative approach to providing high quality food
- An understanding of food safety and HACCP principles
- Availability to participate in a 7 day working roster of days, nights and weekends.
- Ability to work under pressure in a high volume, fast paced environment.
