Quality Assurance Manager

Our client is looking for an individual to provide practical, hands on Quality Assurance Systems support and leadership to quality control team and packing operations in order to improve product quality, improve system efficiencies and to ensure ongoing compliance to the HACCP based Quality Management System.

 

You are to be responsible for planning, organising, directing and controlling quality systems and processes within the organization

 

Some of the tasks involved are –

  • Conduct routine inspections, verification and testing activities as required by the FSQ system.
  • Support internal and external audits as per schedule and provide robust corrective actions which will sustain the closure of non-conformances.
  • Collate quality testing results and ensure root cause analysis, corrective actions and preventative measures are implemented.
  • Identify and escalate food safety and quality issues in a timely manner.
  • Supervise the quality control team including coaching, developing and providing recognition to team members.
  • Assisting and encouraging the development of objectives, strategies and plans aimed at achieving customer satisfaction and the efficient use of an organisation’s resources
  • Liaising with suppliers within manufacturing environments to assist them in supplying goods to particular specifications and liaising with customers to monitor perceptions regarding the organisation’s quality and timeliness.
  • Assisting in the implementation of statistical methodologies and quality tools to monitor and control quality.
  • Providing input into reports on the effectiveness and suitability of the management system .
  • Advising on and may deliver training relating to quality programs and objective.

The following experience will be highly regarded –

  • trained in HACCP principles and application
  • Internal Auditor qualified or willing to undertake training
  • experience in SQF system management
  • familiar with FSANZ requirements
  • Must have a bachelors degree or higher with at least two years of experience 
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a fast paced food processing environment may substitute for the formal qualification. 
  • experience in planning, coordinating and participating in system reviews and quality audits, and assisting staff in identifying potential improvements to systems, processes and work flows
