Requirements of the Role
The permanent full-time position will report to the Production Manager. Some of the core duties of this position are:
- Working in a team to achieve the left-hand drive dual steer conversion of Hino, ISUZU and IVECO trucks. Your role will be to modify the factory main loom to accommodate left hand drive;
- Make and install the electrical option loom to accommodate any customer request e.g., beacons, arrow bars, work lights, GPS, weighing systems;
- Installing and integrating CanBus systems; and
- Modifying and installing factory taillight looms to accommodate LED taillights.
To be successful in the role, it is great that you:
- Proficient mechanical knowledge and demonstrated auto-electrical, electrical and hydraulic skills and /or hold an appropriate qualification as Automotive Electrician
- At least two years’ relevant employment experience
- Be able to work well in a team but also have the ability to work independently
- Display a sense of urgency and punctuality at all times
- Have a sense of pride and care in your work
- Drivers licence rated MR or higher
- A work approach based on solution-finding and continuous improvement
- Strong time management
- A high customer service focus
- Pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment
