Due to growing demand our client is seeking Diesel - Mechanic Technicians to join there hard working and dedicated team. As a Diesel Mechanic Technician, you will be responsible for all aspects of mechanical repair. Your role would include and not be limited to the following duties:
* Diagnosing, repairing, fitting and overhauling diesel engines and plant equipment. * Maintaining, diagnosing, repairing and fitting hydraulic components of diesel-powered attachments such as pumps and injectors. * Dismantling, repairing and reassembling engines, transmissions, steering columns and other components. * Using oxy, electric, TIG and MIG welding techniques to fit, replace, assemble and repair metal parts including fabrication of parts, machinery and other equipment. * Diagnosing and repairing heavy vehicle fuel injections systems. * Testing repaired parts for proper performance. * Testing and repairing basic electrical circuits. * Using computers and specialized tools to diagnose and repair faults. * Inspecting vehicles and machinery for faults. * Following workplace Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) protocols. To be considered for this role you must have the following attributes: * Relevant qualifications (at least Cert Ill) in Engineering - Mechanical Trade or equivalent, or a minimum of 3 years' experience as a Diesel Mechanic. * Trained and have experience in Diesel Fuel injection repairs * Experience to disassemble, clean and inspect pumps and injectors * Repair, service and calibrate components. * Diagnostic Skills * Able to demonstrate efficient work practices. * Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills * Hydraulics/Pneumatic experience will be highly regarded This is a full-time position with salary range of $75,000 to $95,000 pa based on experience+ superannuation.
