Skilled Meatworkers Based in Wetherill Park on the outer Western Suburbs of Sydney in New South Wales, our client is one of Australia's leading fully integrated pork meat processing company. We are looking for a number of skilled, qualified, and experienced fulltime boners for our morning and afternoon shifts. Skilled Boners The position would involve the following duties: Operating switching controls to direct and drop carcasses and meat cuts from supply rails to boning tables. Cutting meat to separate meat, fat and tissue from around bones. Washing, scraping and trimming meat. Cutting sides and quarters of meat into standard meat cuts, such as legs, flanks and shoulders, and trimming to prepare them for packing and marketing.
Essential Skills, Experience and Qualifications Excellent knife skills and maintenance of personal equipment Attention to detail Excellent reliability, attendance and timekeeping at work Good communication and positive teamwork Sound problem solving capabilities, including reporting malfunctioning of equipment, or workplace health and safety issues Ability to manage priorities to meet production schedules Ability to work within a cold storage environment and with raw meat products Sound understanding of Australian meat industry AQF Certificate III in Meat Processing Must complete a Pre-employment medical functional drug and alcohol test Minimum of 3 years of experience
