Our client is a fabricating company making and installing commercial and machinery sheds ad yard covers They are looking for Metal Fabricators to repair and fabricate various products. You will be required to fabricate structural steel and other metal to make and repair products. 

To be successful in this role you would need to possess the following:

• Hold an AQF Cert IV with 12 months of experience, AQF Cert III including at least 2 years of relevant experience,  OR at least 3 years of relevant experience may substitute for formal qualifications.
• Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine job requirements
  Select, clean, and prepare metal stock
• Cut marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches and metal cutting machines
• Shape and bend metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, and by heating and hammering
• Align parts to be joined using hand tools
• Join metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting, and riveting
• Examine welds for width of bead, penetration, and precision
• Finish products by cleaning in acidic solutions
• Clean and smooth welds by filing, chiseling, and grinding
• Able to work efficiently on your own or within a team environment
