Our client is a leading provider of vehicles, plant and equipment maintenance services for mining industry in the Pilbara region.

Due to growing demand our client is seeking HD Fitters/Fitter (General) to join there hard working and dedicated team. As Fitters you will be responsible for all aspects of mechanical repairs.

Your role would include and not be limited to the following duties:

· Diagnosing, repairing, fitting and overhauling heavy diesel engines and plant equipment.

· Maintaining, diagnosing, repairing and fitting hydraulic components of diesel–powered     attachments such as pumps and injectors.

· Dismantling, repairing and reassembling engines, transmissions, steering columns and other components.

·Using oxy, electric, TIG and MIG welding techniques to fit, replace, assemble and repair metal parts including fabrication of parts, machinery and other equipment.

· Diagnosing and repairing heavy vehicle fuel injections systems.

· Testing repaired parts for proper performance.

· Testing and repairing basic electrical circuits.

· Using computers and specialized tools to diagnose and repair faults.

· Inspecting vehicles and machinery for faults.

· Following workplace Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) protocols.

Key skills and experience required
· Relevant qualifications (at Cert III) in Engineering – Mechanical or equivalent, or a minimum of 3 years' experience as a Fitter

· Repair, service and calibrate components.

· Diagnostic Skills

· Able to demonstrate efficient work practices.
