Our client is a leading provided in the hay export industry, and is looking for experienced and skilled Metal Fabricators. You will fabricate, shape, cut and repair metal components and structural steels. 

Your duties will include:

• Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine job requirements
• Select, clean, and prepare metal stock
• Diagnose, repair and fit fabricated parts by welding heavy machinery and mechnaical parts.
• Cut marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches and metal cutting machines
• Shape and bend metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, and by heating and hammering
• Align parts to be joined using hand tools
• Join metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting, and riveting
• Examine welds for width of bead, penetration, and precision
• Finish products by cleaning in acidic solutions
• Clean and smooth welds by filing, chiseling, and grinding
• Able to work efficiently on your own or within a team environment

You will need:

• Hold an AQF Cert IV with 12 months of experience, AQF Cert III including at least 2 years of relevant experience,  OR at least 3 years of relevant experience may substitute for formal qualifications.
• Repair, service and maintenance skills.
• Diagnostic Skills
• Able to demonstrate efficient work practices.

This is a full-time position with an attractive salary-based on experience +superannuation.
