Our client is looking for Metal Fabricators to join there hard working and dedicated team. As Metal Fabricators you will be responsible for cutting, shaping, joining and repair of metal components and steel structures. 

Due to growing demand our client is seeking a Metal Fabricator to join there hard working and dedicated team.

Your role would include and not be limited to the following duties:

-Diagnosing, repairing, fitting, fabricating and welding heavy machinery and equipment mechanical parts and mobile and permanently fixed plants.

-Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine job requirements
-Select, clean, and prepare metal stock
-Cut marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches and metal cutting machines
-Shape and bend metal sections using hand and machine tools, and by heating and hammering
-Align parts to be joined using hand tools
-Join metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting, and riveting
-Examine welds for width of bead, penetration, and precision
-Clean and smooth welds by filing, chiseling, and grinding

Key skills and experience required
· Relevant qualifications (at Cert III) in Engineering – Fabrication or equivalent, or a minimum of 3 years' experience as a Metal Fabricator

· Repair, service and maintenance skills.

· Diagnostic Skills

· Able to demonstrate efficient work practices.
